'Venus and Serena' has fascinating then-and-now footage

The documentary is more testimonial than investigation, but seeing the tennis champions at a young age is enjoyable.

?Venus and Serena,? directed by Maiken Baird and Michelle Major, is one of those documentaries that is more testimonial than investigation.

But since its subjects, tennis champions and sisters Venus and Serena Williams, have been in the limelight since they were preteen phenomenons, the movie offers up much fascinating then-and-now footage. When the 11-year-old Venus talks about wanting to win Wimbledon or the US Open, her broad smile matches our own. Grade: B- (Rated PG-13 for some strong language.)
