About 300 vendors brought their A game to the QCCA Expo Center in Rock Island on Saturday for the annual Quad Cities Home Builders Association Home Show.
Hundreds of people came out to wander around and get a peek at what?s available in home improvement and new construction. Beautiful hardwood flooring, luxurious Jacuzzis, fancy kitchen, bathroom, home theater setups and more filled the center.
The home show gives area companies a chance to ?show as much as (they) can,? what they think is popular, said Nick Swanson, a windows and doors salesman at Flicks Home Center.
Brian Girskis, founder of Suburban Construction, said the home show gives attendees a feel for what?s out there, offering a variety of ideas and options in a no-pressure atmosphere.
That no-pressure zone was exactly what Pam Slavish and her family were out for. Ms. Slavish said the Matherville family was just ?out shopping? Saturday, enjoying the easy-going, no-pressure nature of the show.
